Monsoon
The Wildest One. He’s a flash of lightning on a hot summer day, where one prays for the clouds to cleanse them with rain. My childhood dream horse came true. He stood out in a herd of bay mustangs.
Monsoon came home with me and Romeo. He was wild as ever and the prettiest mustang I’d seen. A spitting image of Spirit from the children’s movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Carrying the purest spanish bloodlines from the Sulphur Herd in Northern Utah, his wildness radiates.
He was adopted out twice before I found him, and returned to holding as he failed to be trained within the time limit. After months of getting to know him and asking him to join the human world we made a pact to keep him wild and free.
He is the silent leader, his boundaries are gentle, he’s inquisitive and an observer. Cautious and kind he holds his own and protects his heart.
